HISTORY

 

The Louisiana Southernaires were formed on April 15, 1981 and in just a few short months on Thursday, August 20, 1981 managed to win First Place in the Class “A” D.C.I. World Championship in Montreal, Quebec.  They were the pride of the state of Louisiana for their first competitive season achievement.

The Louisiana Southemaires was the only corps in the State of Louisiana during 1981 - 1983. Membership drew from Louisiana, Mississippi & Texas.
