GNODCA

The Crescent City Cadets is a beginning-level music, dance and marching activity for ages 10 and up that offers young men and women quality educational and performance experiences in the areas of music, movement and dance. Founded in 2007, the Crescent City Cadets’ objective is to develop personal character through challenging physical, mental and social activities while promoting the values of dedication, hard work and commitment to a team effort.

The Crescent City Cadets and the GNODCA believe that music and the performing arts connect youth with their culture though a common language crossing all age, social and racial barriers. The activities that a young person purses influences the type of person he or she becomes and the experiences that comes with participation in a performing arts organization builds discipline, character, pride and self-confidence at a crucial age and forms the stepping stones to even greater achievements in adulthood. The Crescent City Cadets permanently enriches the lives of young people through a commitment to youth development and performance excellence while providing enjoyment to its members and to our local community.

The Crescent City Cadets is under the direction of Mark A. Richards and practices are at St. Francis Xavier School, 215 Betz Pl. Metairie, LA 70005. For further details and practice times you can reach Mark Richards at crescentcitycadets@cox.net, on facebook/Crescent City Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps or on twitter/http://twitter.com/CrsntCityCadets.
